Dr. Huber provides comprehensive eye care for the entire family, including infants. He enjoys pediatric eye care and works well with young children. Challenges in the field of optometry that Dr. Huber finds particularly rewarding, are successfully providing comfortable lenses for those hard-to-fit contact lenses and managing ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic and hypertensive eye changes, and macular degeneration, among others.
Dr. Gary "Ty" Huber attended college at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD where he earned his B.A. in Biology. Upon graduation, Dr. Huber moved to Chicago, IL and matriculated into the Illinois College of Optometry receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2004. Dr. Huber has completed several professional externships focusing on the specialty areas of Pediatrics, Contact Lenses, Low Vision and Advanced Eye Care at the Illinois Eye Institute, the University of Chicago, and the Westside VA Hospital.
He is board certified to diagnose, manage, and treat eye disease. Dr. Huber has been a member of the American Optometric Association for many years. Dr. Huber moved to Rochester from Chicago to be closer to family and start his eyecare practice.
Dr. Roshani Sellon grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana. After graduating with her doctorate in optometry from Indiana University in 2002, she completed residency training in ocular disease at Cincinnati Eye Institute. As a military wife, she has prior optometric experience in military hospitals, refractive surgery centers, and dry eye clinics. She joined Huber Eyecare in 2016 and loves working at the Kahler Grand Hotel Lobby Level office providing comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, surgical co-management, and treating eye infections for both children and adults.
Dr. Sellon is a very caring optometrist who goes out of her way to make sure each patient is treated like family. She takes pride in performing thorough eye exams while educating patients about their ocular health, as well as offering them options for the latest and greatest in spectacle and contact lens technology. Making long term relationships with her patients motivates her.
In her free time, Dr. Sellon loves spending time with her husband and active sons, training at a local Crossfit gym, running races with girlfriends, and traveling.
Huber Eyecare also is completely handicap accessible with a wheel-in lane for those in wheelchairs. Dr. Huber and his wife Jill are the proud parents of two children. They are now proud to call Rochester home after transitioning from Chicago to be closer to family. New patients are always welcome for eye exams, contact lenses, eye glasses, and LASIK consultation.
