Find out if you are a good candidate for LASIK

Our skilled optometrists will complete a thorough comprehensive eye exam to determine if your eyeglass prescription is stable. Additionally, we will screen for other potential contraindications that may make you a poor candidate (such as dry eyes, corneal scarring, or other ocular or systemic diseases) for refractive surgery. If you appear to have stable vision and healthy eyes, our doctors can help you choose an adept refractive surgeon (a board-certified ophthalmologist) with whom to obtain a more thorough consultation. This would involve getting special diagnostic testing to ensure that your corneal thickness and corneal curvature are adequate for a safe outcome, as well as meeting the ophthalmologist for yourself.

Once you have undergone LASIK or PRK at a refractive surgery center of your choosing, our optometrists can "co-manage" with that surgeon. This means you can select to have all of your post-operative care done locally at either of our two Huber Eyecare locations by Drs. Huber or Sellon. It eliminates the inconvenience of possibly driving long distances to see your eye surgeon for each of the 4-5 follow-ups that may be required after surgery. We will work closely with your refractive surgeon during this period, giving him or her detailed feedback about your progress after each visit. You can count on Dr. Huber and Dr. Sellon to be here for you in case you have any difficulty or concerns during your post-operative period!
